Health professionals agree that breastfeeding is best for baby and mom. Here are a few of our breastfeeding mom and baby pairs!
Gemma Morris is one of our star breastfeeding moms. She did not breast her other three children, and she did not plan on breastfeeding Brittney, her youngest child. But after giving birth to Brittney, a Lactation Consultant at Kapiolani Hospital convinced her to breastfeed and told her not to give up.
Gemma is really thankful for Brittney's health. "I guess she's a healthy and happy baby because of breastfeeding." She remembers going to the doctor often with her other children, but with Brittney, she has not taken her in for any type of sickness yet.
Gemma reccomends breastfeeding to all moms because "It's easy, and it's the best for you and your baby." Simply put, Gemma states, "I love breastfeeding!"
Congratulations go out to Nora Motuga who had a healthy baby girl on January 23, 1999. Nora is exclusively breastfeeding her daughter, Nati. Nora enjoys breastfeeding, saying it is easier than bottle feeding. Six weeks after birth, her daughter is a hefty 13 pounds!
Lotoa Eka is a proud mom of baby daughter Malakai who was born on March
11, 1999. Lotoa is exclusively breastfeeding Malakai on the advice of
her pediatrician and her grandma.
